Our Values

Hamdard is a healthcare and supportive service provider rooted in Chicagoland’s diverse communities. We believe patients receive the best care when their providers understand their cultural background and experiences. That’s why our staff speaks up to 10 languages spoken by patients and has a deep appreciation for their diverse backgrounds. Community-focused care is provided in a warm setting, allowing patients to feel comfortable and empowered to improve their health. Our supportive programs offer an empathetic approach to community members facing a variety of challenges, from a domestic violence crisis to obstacles related to aging.

One of the fundamental elements of a Community Health Center such as Hamdard Center is that it is governed by a community board, composed of a majority (51% or more) of health center patients who represent the population served. Our board gives guidance and direction outlined by our mission. We are grateful for our dedicated board who share our commitment to keeping our patients first and foremost in every decision Hamdard Center makes.
